Mandarin is a very high end line of tangerine known to produce the most orangy/red toned leopard geckos on the market along with deep green pigments popping out in the linage especially when combined with bold, inferno, or other emerine lines. It is a staple project of what we do here at Geeky Gecko Creations, using it to bring out the best oranges, reds, and greens out of many projects! :D

Inferno is a classically popular line of tangerine which focuses on intense oranges and is known to carry bright emerine greens in the offspring. A fantastic line of tangerine to cross into any project!

Emerine is a bright green color that you will find comes through on certain lines such as tangerine, bold, w&y, and clown. Most green color will start richly around one month old and may fade as the gecko ages. However, white & yellow seems to hold the green color most into adulthood.

Most leopard gecko males show signs at 1-2 months old when their bulges begin to drop and are noticeably bigger than females of equivalent age. However the pre-vent pores that accompany male leopard geckos don't often appear vividly until around 4-6+ months old. It is for this reason, that all we have to judge by for geckos 1-4 months old are the bulges. This can be a reliable method when you know what you are looking for and have seen thousands of leopard geckos age out over time. However, there is one caveat I have noticed which I call "late bloomer males." This simply refers to males that actually don't show any bulges until 4+ months old and appear to be a female before then. This is expression is less common but certainly something that can happen. This gecko here is specifically showing a more defined crease in the bulge area. This could be an early onset sign of bigger bulges that will drop proving him to be male over time. To make things more complicated, some females can have bigger or more distinguished bulges, adding more complexity to the judgement. However, in these cases I will label the gecko Male or Female based on how it looks at the moment since we cannot predict 100% what will happen in the future. Then I will leave a note like this attached to the gecko's description profile :D
